RAIPUR: Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Raipur marked its 15th Foundation Day with an eventful ceremony on its campus in the city on Sunday. To celebrate IIM Raipur‘s remarkable journey and accomplishments over the past 15 years, senior faculty members, students, and distinguished personalities attended the event, making it a memorable occasion.
The event was attended by Amit Grover, CEO, Adani Airports (CSD), who was welcomed by Prof. Ram Kumar Kakani, Director, IIM Raipur, along with Col. Harindra Tripathi (Retd), and Prof. Ashapurna Baruah. The event paid tribute to the institute’s founders with a special skit by Prof. Kamal K. Jain.
Prof. Ram Kumar Kakani said, “As we celebrate the 15th Foundation Day, I’m filled with pride in how far we’ve reached. This milestone underscores the hard work, dedication, and vision of our founder, faculty, staff, and students. Our journey has been full of growth, transformation, and pursuit of excellence. Today we celebrate our history while renewing our goals of fostering excellence. Upcoming years hold great potential in terms of expanding our reach globally and providing more opportunities to our students that transcend boundaries.”
Amit Grover, CEO, Adani Airports (CSD), delivering the foundation day address shared inspiring insights on the role of education from personal anecdotes that help to shape the future and emphasized the importance of continuous learning and adapting to new challenges in a fast-evolving world. “To the new world, it will not be a straight line, education has a highly transformative power and leadership carries value creation” and emphasized on five important takeaways of leadership, resilience, establishing personal goals, empathy, self-awareness and the importance of having a global view,” he added.
A key highlight of the day was the presentation of certificates of appreciation for the faculty and staff, recognizing their length of service, citizenship behaviour, and the best employee. These honours also included awards for exceptional contributions by service providers and faculty members who had incorporated the institute’s CHIRP case studies. In addition, certificates of merit and scholarly achievement were presented to FPM and PGP students, recognizing their academic achievements and dedication.
