This recruitment drive will fill out a total of 1,360 Odisha Police Constable vacancies. The board informed that the edit correction window for all candidates will be opened after the last date for submitting online applications. This will be announced in due course on the Odisha Police website and the State Selection Board portal.
According to the official notice, “In view of the Puja vacations, the last date of filling up online applications for the post of Sepoys / Constables in Battalions in respect of Indicative Advertisement No.01/SSB, dated 14.09.2024 & Detailed Advertisement No.02 / SSB dated 22.09.2024 is hereby extended to 30th Oct.2024 to facilitate the candidates for submission of the applications.”
The selection process will be conducted in four stages — Computer Based Recruitment Examination (CBRE), Measurement of Physical Standards and Physical Efficiency Test, Driving Test, and Medical Examination. Women, Transgenders, and Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) category candidates can not apply for the posts. A candidate can apply only for one battalion and the option can not be changed later. For more details, candidates can refer to the detailed notification.
The candidates who want to apply for these posts must lie between the age group of 18 to 23 years. However, the age relaxation will be provided to the reserved category candidates. Also, the candidates should have qualified class 10 (Matriculation) examination conducted by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) Odisha or any other equivalent examination conducted by other boards.
